Year of the Mouse Design The reverse of each coin portrays a mouse, the Chinese character for 'mouse' and the 2008 lunar year-date.
'P' Mintmark The reverse of each coin also includes The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark.
Australian Legal Tender Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coins feature the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2008 issue-date on the obverse.
The Perth Mint will release just 1,000 individual 2oz coins, 2,500 individual 1oz coins, 5,000 individual 1/2oz coins, and 1,000 Three-Coin Sets (2oz, 1oz, 1/2oz).
