Counterfeit Money PrintingThe owner of a pizzeria was recently accused of producing his own counterfeit money, fake dollar bills, in his room behind the oven. According to the police, the man had in his office all the necessary equipment, including printers and cutting devices. On March 19, 2008, police found $6,000 in counterfeit[939] bills in the back of the man's office, situated at The Brick Oven Pizza Shop, which is near the village Police Dept.

The name of the counterfeiter is Frank Donato and he is a 39 year-old man from Dobbs Ferry. He is the owner of a pizzeria and a nearby ice cream stand. On Tuesday, March 18, he was arrested and charged with sixteen counts of forgery.

In his statement Sgt. Harold Young said that Frank Donato used the devices hidden in the pizzeria for printing and then distributing fake United States money.

Bruce Bendish, Donato's attorney, stated that his client is pleaded not guilty at his accusation and submitted $7,500 bail on March 19.

Mr. Bendish stated that the equipment confiscated by the police was "what you'd consider standard equipment in any kind of business." He mentioned that some time is needed in order to investigate the charges against Donato.
