U.S. Mint can impose bitter fines of up to $25,000 for each misuse of its symbols and names by the "broadcasts and telecasts".

 

The right of the Mint to impose fines is meant to struggle against advertisements that provide misleading impressions regarding "sponsorship, endorsement or association with the United States Mint or the Treasury Department".
