The 3^rd part of the United States Mint Presidential $1 Coin Historical Signature Series is to be issued today, June 10. It is worth mentioning that the collection of new Historical Signature Series started on April 8^th, when coins with the image of George Washington were issued. The Historical Signature Series features 2007 Presidential $1 Coins minted to commemorate the Presidents of the United States.

The new Set of Presidential $1 Coins includes a proof version coin along with a Presidential intaglio print made by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The coin comes in a textured, leather-like folder. When opened the folder shows the intaglio print from the BEP along with the official Presidential signature. Each set comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

The latest United States Mint Presidential $1 Coin Historical Signature Set commemorates Thomas Jefferson, whose image is depicted on the proof coin. It is the third U.S. president marked by the Presidential Dollar collection. The proof coin features a sharp relief and a beautiful mirror-like background. A special cameo effect is provided by the sculpted foreground.

The portrait of the United States President is depicted on the coin's obverse, while the reverse includes the image of the Statue of Liberty. The set of commemorative coins also includes such details as: edge-incused inscriptions of the year, the legend that states "E Pluribus Unum", "In God We Trust", as well as the mint mark. The weight of the Presidential Dollar coins as well as their size and metal composition are identical with the Sacagawea Golden Dollar.

The Presidential intaglio print of Thomas Jefferson made by the BEP can be admired from the cover of the United States Mint Presidential $1 Coin Historical Signature Set.
